Budova, which is Slovak for the word “building,” was founded in Atlanta in 2012 and relocated to Maryland in 2014. Now headquartered just outside of Annapolis, we have built a solid presence locally, work on projects throughout the US, and continue to have strong ties with consultants across various disciplines to best serve our clients.

Kat Sabo

President

Kat has 28 years of combined professional experience.
She brings to the table a fierce determination, strong leadership, and a genuine desire for meaningful connections.
She enjoys the fellowship of colleagues through various professional industry organizations, including AIA, NAIOP, SMPS, ULI, USGBC, and CREW, where she is a Board Member.
Kat is a die-hard Patriots fan, names her dogs after literary characters, thinks hand-written notes are important, and enjoys eating ice cream with chocolate jimmies.

Mike Sabo

PE, CxA, BECxP, BCxP, CEM, LEED® AP Principal

Mike has 28 years of experience as an engineering consultant.
He has extensive experience with building commissioning, energy audits, energy modeling, facility condition assessments, and green building consulting.
He is a member of ACG, AIA, ASHRAE, and USGBC, where he served a term on the Market Leadership Advisory Board of the Maryland Chapter.
In his free time, you can find Mike rooting for all Penn State sports teams, fishing, or watching his sons’ baseball and basketball games.
